I took my rifle out today after installing a rise armament ra434 trigger, volquartsen bolt, and the BAD ambi safety. Started with a 10rd short mag trying to zero my optic. First shot fires, next shot nothing. Pull the charge handle back and the round rejects and next round loads and then I fire. Next round loads like normal but the trigger is dead. Checked my safety, it was set to fire and would not flip to safe. This went on for the entire mag and a most of a 25 rounder before I stopped. One round would fire, eject, load next round and nothing. Pretty sure the hammer isnt going back far enough to reset. Also had 2 times where it would basically double fire and then dead trigger again.

Had almost the same issues with a Rise trigger. Do not know about relationships with the bolt or safety, but my Rise just would not work. Swapped out to the stock trigger... good to go. Swapped bact to Rise... same problems. That pretty much isolated the problem to the trigger. One shot, maybe two then dead trigger. Manual reset. One shot, maybe two then dead trigger. It did seem the hammer was not returned sufficiently to reset.

Rise support was very good and did RMA a couple times and tried to resolve the problem. They said they had almost 100% success with customer 15-22, except one thing. I have a Perfornance Center. They said they never had a Performance Center sale. Do not know if PC made a difference; do not know why it would. But that was the only difference.

Suggest swapping out to the stock trigger. If the stock works, then the Rise trigger is not working for you.

Sounds similar to a problem I had with one of my ARs. Later I learned it was not all that uncommon. The remedy was to remove some material from the RA cassette housing. If yours has the bottom tensioning screws, make sure they are set according to factory specs (made no difference on my RA-140). They were fully aware of the problem with my particular gun but chose not to inform potential buyers in their advertising. I have an email from them stating as much. Never again will they get a penny from me.

What bamashooter said +1. I couldn't get the tensioner screws tightened enough with the polymer frame on the 1522. Put the Rise trigger in my BushMaster and it did the same thing.. ..I tightened the tensioner screws and the problem went away. So I left the Rise trigger in the AR 15 and put the CMC in my 1522. Problem solved.
I won't be buying another Rise Armament trigger either. 🤨

Ok, so the retention screws aren't grabbing anything, they're just spinning. I'm about to head to PSA now and see what they have in stock. Would any CMC trigger suffice?

Their basic single-stage, curved trigger, 3.5 lb pull is regularly on sale at Palmetto, Primary Arms, etc for under 100.00. Good trigger. Typically a 24 hour sale. It's best to get on their mailing list to receive a heads up. After getting the trigger, you can always unsubscribe.

Fortunately I have a PSA right down the road. I'm in there pretty regularly. Its hard a having a location so close and not going broke. Lol
