New Truck

At this point I think I'd take any Japanese truck over the big three. I still love the old 90's GM trucks, but finding clean examples these days isn't easy and they come with a premium.

It pains me greatly to agree, but I do.
Our industry seems bent on running away screaming from any worthwhile concept.
While the new muscle car era was refreshing, these cars don't necessarily fit into ones lifestyle.
To get some of the performance in a car that'll work with and for you, you must look to Japan or Europe.

My Tacoma came with an OEM hard tonneau cover. I also installed an electric tail gate lock even though it's not marketed as fitting the SR5. The result is what I call a 4WD Camry with a really large trunk. :D

Got a tonneau cover for the truck on the way. My neighbor talked me into getting a hard instead of a soft vinyl cover. He made good sense.

Been driving the new truck for a while. It's a comfortable ride and the adaptive cruise control is useful. It's obviously not as roomy as our full size Dodge Ram was but it's plenty for us. Plus it's easier to park in a crowded parking lot. I do like the back up camera.
On the last fill up, I was getting 22.2 mpg.
The 159 horsepower four cylinder has enough power for us.
We've added a hard tonneau cover and cd player that plugs into the usb port.

My 2007 Tacoma Access Cab is still going strong with 177K miles. It is the V6 automatic 4wd.

It does need new paint, and I am going to see if I can get it done at reasonable cost.
