New video: How to convert your 15-22 to a 22-M4

Nice! Your gun looks awesome like that. I may have to rig mine like that as well. Any chance for a spacer kit for the front sight tower?

I'd make the spacers if I had the equipment. Belt_Fed machine the spacers for me. There is another forum member who's name escapes me at the moment that said 3/4" DOM Tubing worked perfectly, no machining needed, just split it with a band saw or hack saw, cut to length.

Correct, this was done before TST had a front sight post that fit right out of the box. Much easier for you guys to do a conversion now. :)

The TST sight looks great, I'm considering. Has anyone had any experience with this part? My big concern is the sight staying solid on the barrel. My experience with clamp on barrel accessories has not always been good.

I have had one on my rifle for over a year, with probably a couple K rounds through it and it is as solid as when I put it on. This is an absolutely great sight, precision fit to the 15-22. I have the UTG carry handle on mine also, and the look is awesome. If you want more info, PM me and I'll be happy to answer any questions. There is an instruction video at this link that show how easy the installation is:

I highly recommend this sight.

I run the TST front sight on mine, too and it has held up great. I highly recommend it.

Ok, I'm sold on the TSA sight, I just can't order it if it's out of stock. :-(

Sorry for bringing back a way old thread but i couldn't find a newer one discussing this topic.

So the OD barrel diameter on mine is .67 ID of one type of A@ front sight post is .625. Now I have heard of people boring out the sight post to make it fit. I was also wondering if you could just turn down the barrel a little to make it fit as well?

It's far easier to bore out the front sight than to turn down the barrel. Much cheaper to replace if you make a mistake, too. :)

That's what I was thinking too. At first I didn't think that TST front sight had a bayonet mount but it looks like it does. Seems like the reviews for it are very positive.

So basically you could just use that for the easiest fix plus the barrel nut adapter and delta ring as mentioned in the video above and you are good to go correct?

Correct. I went the hard way and bought an Armalite sight post before
TST offered anything and had an aluminum spacer machined to take up
the difference in size. But now that TST has one, it's just simple.. Purchase
and clamp on! :)
