OK, I hope this doesn't get me banned from the forum or get my gunguy card taken away, but I have decided that my New Year's resolution for 2014 is not to buy any new guns (new to me, so no used ones either ;) ).

I picked up quite a few nice ones in 2013 and I have decided that I will take 2014 to really enjoy all of the ones I have now, and put some of that money I would have spent into things that will help me enjoy them, like more ammo, or taking courses - I'd like to do the Black Badge this year.

I think I can have a great deal of fun doing this.

I wish everyone a great year in 2014, and as many new guns as you like if this kind of resolution is not for you.

Yeah, Yeah....that and when you go out to get the newspaper tomorrow morning, the ammo fairy will have left you a pallet of CCI 22lr in the driveway!

Yah sure. Like the time the little woman irked me so bad I was going to cut her off just to make her suffer 'til I realized I was only punishing myself.

Guns, guns and more guns! Go out of this world in a blaze of glory never holding back on anything.

Sometimes it's good to spend some time upgrading guns with gunsmithing, new grips, sights, scopes, shooting and hunting gear.

I plan to only buy one more gun in 2014 (ar uppers don't count).

I do plan to scope a 375, trick out my 10/22, and add new sights to a glock.

But I would never make it a New Years resolution!

Be sure to let us know how that works out for ya! ;)

Made it the whhole year without buying anything! I haven't kept track but I might have spend the cash on more ammo. In any case, I did shoot what I had quite a bit and had fun. The only regret is that my club had a nice Springfield 1911 on consignment that I was hoping would not sell so I could buy it on Friday. It got away. I do have something lined up to buy Friday though.

I gained weight, continued to eat & drink. More important, finished the Masterpiece Target & Combat collection; purchased three Baby Chief's (half moon, smooth & serrated sights), had my pre 29 box relined and got into some semi automatics.

That's some will power you have! We'd have let you slide on the Springer....;) Pics of the first one for 2015 when you get around to it.
