New York Bill Would Require Gun Registration

On another forum I frequent, it was pointed out that in NY penal law, only handguns are considered firearms.

You know, those things we already register.

I'm going back to school at UCF, any apartments in the area? :D

Sorry for the thread drift, but UCF means "U Can't Finish". Be careful with your program and advisement so you don't get caught in the "it's a required course for your degree but it's only offered every other fall semester" trap.

It's one of the reasons I chose not to go there when we lived in Seminole County.

Good for you for going back to school. I finished my BA at the age of forty-five.

No problem Russ :), it was a joke. The post was meant for Forum member ditrina who lives nearby the school. Our best friends' son goes there, he's studying hotel management, and just finishing his junior year. He better finish and become successful, we like to travel alot, and plan on being his guests. :D
As you can tell by my sentence structure and spelling, I probably need to go there too.

Actually, I recall visiting a few gun shows in New York, the country towns and I never saw more than two handguns at any of them, rifles & shotguns were in abundance, but not so much on the evil black types...

Thanks to NY's pistol permit and registration scheme, same-day sales of handguns are generally tough to do unless you're a resident of a gun-friendly county.

With the permanent scary-looking-rifle ban, the market isn't as deep for those - it's there, but the shows tend to be the more traditional guns.

While UCF is known as UCan'tFinish here it is still a good school. Their hospitality program is first rate with a lot of great local businesses to partner with for practical experience. Harris Rosen, the big hospitality tycoon around here, is a huge UCF supporter.

Has anybody mentioned a certain bug sometimes seen in the area to you? Just askin'.

Bob, funny thing, last time I was in Orlando I didn't see any of the palmetto's. I was lookin' though . It just happened to be "love bug" time , one could have swept them up with a broom. :(
Back to UCF, yep they have a great hospitality program. We did a mini-tour of the "lab" area, and felt like we were in the Ritz Carlton. Great program down there.
