Just got the MOE version today!! Researching sight options. Can someone explain the differences/ uses for these 2 different types of sight form factors?

I have purchased both form factors, and personally they are both very close in my opinion as far as use.
If your looking for a "cheaper" sight, I probably would suggest the Red dot "scope" looking sight simply because lower budget holo sights some times get poor reviews on being able to see the dot during day light outdoor shooting.

I personally like the holo type sight for faster target acquire when using pistols and timed events but my wife likes the red dot but with a smaller objective lens so she doesn't have as large of field of view. I first started out with a Bushnell trophy red dot that has both red and green with 4-5 recitals since she has poor eye sight and tends to switch eye dominance.

To be fair, your probably going to like something different than me, and the best way is to head to your sporting goods store and look at a couple just to see what feels natural to you. Take a look at some of the low powered scopes if your going to be shooting 100 yards ever.

My daughter and I shot the 15-22MOE and the SP22 for the first time. I have a Walther holographic sight on the pistol which worked well, but highlights shaky hands. The 15-22 had 250 rounds thru of Winchester 555, has 2 FTF and 1 FTE. My kid was pretty good with it and is addicted. Also, it was our first time shooting indoors.

ive got several set ups i run but my wife and brothers 8yr old love my hammers 2x42 tdot... i give 50 bucks shipped for it

I have this on the way from CTD.com...

Main advantage of the enclosed type is bright sunlight won't wash the recticle out.

Red DOT in...

Have not tried it out yet...

i have the primary arms M4 red dot. so far so good. Has 4 reticles and was easy to sight in

I have to give PA a thumbs up. I have 2 of the micros and the M3 clone too. I also have a canted one piece conventional scope mount from them that is fantastic. Good customer support.

Finally shot and sighted in. I have to give the Walther sight a thumbs up.
