Hello ...

I recently purchased my 15-22 with what I believe is a good deal. $399 including 2 x 25 rnd S/W magazines and 200 rnds of CCI high end stuff. Plus, I got a S/W $50 rebate as well.

Anyway ....

I was able to take the gun out to shoot today and was very impressed. I am basically a 'hand gunner' with very limited experience with long guns. Yes, I have the proverbial Ruger 10-22 and Mini 14. But, I have only shot them rarely ... purchasing the 14 only a year ago and only firing it once last week.

The S/W 15-22 is such a dream to shoot. With iron sights and old eyes (with crappy Rx progressive glasses), I was able to shoot tight groups at 50 yards .... and, quite unexpectedly, I shot 4-5" clusters at 100 yards. I also hit 3 bowling pins setting on the ground at 100 yards, too. My shooting friend was impressed shooting the gun as well and will spend $500 getting one and 'stuff' this weekend. It's addictive.

What a nice shooter. We shot CCI standard and Federal hollow points.
I only had one FTF, but it was prolly due to a 'non staggered' loading of the 25 rnd mag. I was impressed. BTW, chairman of the club came by as we were leaving .... he just came from the gun shop with a new 15-22 as well. He was looking forward to shooting it. He'll like it I am sure.

I've got some accessories coming in for the gun based on some of your recommendations ... scope, grips, risers, red dot. I am appreciative of you folks and your help with the gun. It's always nice to have some folks ahead of you, eh. Looking forward to more mods for the gun and shooting the heck out of it. Love it.

WELCOME aboard, and yes that is a GREAT deal! I got my threaded barrel version DUU serial for 489.97 out the door, with one 25 round mag that was factory included.( with and additional $473 worth of add on stuff so far.. and counting! lol) You basicly got it for around 300 give or take, after the high end CCI, the extra 25 round mag and the $50 gift card. Congrats again and this place is a wealth of knowledge for shooters of all ages and the BEST part is EVERY one conducts themselves as ADULTS! None of this immature crap ALOT of sites have. Even our younger shooters conduct themselves accordingly as well. Any questions feel free to ask, as ALOT of people here can and will help on just about ANY question or problem our fellow members come across.

Thanx, DR&U ...

I've been hanging out here a bit and have found a lot of 'stuff' to add to the 15-22. In fact, I just ordered a couple things a minute ago .... Magpul AFG and an enhanced trigger guard. Hope they fit the 15-22. Waiting on the optics and other things.

This is a terrific place to read what other folks have done to their rifles. And, the photogs are just perfect.

I agree with you baggerdude. My 15-22 is about a month old and already have accessorized it from on-line stores. Scope and bipod are as far as I need to go right now, already have a red dot from my S&W 22A. More things on the wish list though. Matter of fact, the 15-22 has replaced the 22A in the firing line up, so I better put a little oil down that barrel as it won't be used in the future as long as the 15-22 is working like the dream it is now.

Man, what an amazing deal you received! I'm looking at a regular 15-22(Not MOE, kind of hard to find here) for $500 haha.

Re: $50 rebate

I bought mine 2 weeks ago and there was no S&W rebate offered. Did I miss something, cannot find anything about it on the S&W website.

Thanks

I'm not sure. S/W is just up the road in MA from here. Perhaps it was a local or regional deal. I still haven't filled out the paperwork from my S/W M&P 9C I bought last month ... another good deal at the same LGS.
