Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself. I bought my m&p 15 22 couple weeks ago and could not be any happier with it. I have probably put 1000 rounds or so and I am very impressed with this rifle. I have been wanting a good rifle to get thats fun but cheap on ammo and this is exactly that. I am looking for some type of magnified scope can anyone chime in if this looks any good or can point me in the right direction. Depending on how much magnification you need, you could get one of their red dot's & add a 3X red-dot magnifier.

welcome to the club as far as the scope goes it depends on what your planning on mainly using it for.

I tend to shoot at 100 yards and I have found that a NCstar 3x9x42 scope just doesn't have good enough magnification at 100 yards. but it works great at 75 yards -.

I'm fairly new to the forum too but I've been shooting for some time. I agree with GMC that a 3-9x40 scope that you're talking about won't have quite the visibility at 100+ yds. A 4-16x40 or 50 would be good. I don't plan on shooting further than 100 yds and the 3-9x42 on mine is doable but won't show as much as a stronger magnified scope. Stay safe.
