Just wanted to say "hi" from Minnesota. I'm not a gun owner yet. I'm taking a 1st Steps class next Sunday, so after handling some different firearms, I'll have a better idea of what I would like to purchase. I'm thinking of a S&W model 60 JFrame with a 3" barrel. I've been reading that the recoil is not as bad since the barrel is longer, and I know it should be a heavier metal.

I've been reading several posts, and I love this forum already!

ndtish, welcome from North Carolina. You came to the right forum to get answers about S&W, but you need to post the question in the Lounge to get plenty of advice.
