I just thought I would share a couple photos of my newly-acquired Model 29-2. It’s in really beautiful shape and the serial number is in the 751000 range.
I just picked up a Model 27 in .44 special last week. I think some of you were right about the S&W bug! I feel like it was priced well below the going rate. I would have opted for a shorter barrel but for the price in this condition I couldn’t pass it up.

Paul, that Model 29-2 is a real doozy. Great looking gun. I like the long barrel guns, especially in the 44 Magnum. Congratulations on the purchase.

Thanks so much! I need to get busy on the reloading bench!

I had a M29-2 8-3/8” barrel revolver that I bought used in the 1980’s.
Really enjoyed that long barrel. Would shot out to 100 yards, seated, resting on sand bags.

Check the side plate screws every so often as they would loosen up after a dozen rounds.

Gotta start some where. I have several 8 3/8 inch N frames. worked my way down. They are all equal to me. Enjoy!

Nice revolver! Mine has a 6.5” bbl, perfect length for me.

Nice 1980 beauty for long range shooting. I prefer the 6.5 but for hunting this is better and last Years of the better made 29-2 till the 29-10

When someone makes you an offer you can't refuse ...
You just gotta Do It !

They are habit forming but I only know one cure ... Buy It !

Nice score ...

Everyone should have an 8-3/8” Model 29. They’re the nicest one of the lot to actually shoot with real magnum loads - by far. Congratulations on your new S&W .44 Magnum. :)
