A co-worker is slowly liquidating his gun inventory and gave me first crack at this 1980-shipped 66-1 snub. It's got a few handling marks, but I couldn't pass this one up for $650, which I thought was a very fair price. I'm truly a sucker for pinned and recessed K frames.
Masterbuck54 hooked me up with a very decent set of magnas to replace the Pachmayr presentation rubbers it came with.

That beautiful piece looks exactly like one I own. Congrats on the find, rjm6120.

Great looking gun and a very fair price. A friend of mine's two older 66's 4" in great shape sold for $650 also recently and I thought that was very good price these days.

The grips in the pictures /// those are called 'Magnas' ?

A good price for it and a stainless gun with a few minor handling marks can easily be brought back to like new in an afternoon if one desired to do so.

Congratulations on that deal! Super nice gun and GOOD price. My 66-2 set me back $725 some years ago. Not as sharp as yours. Bob

Yup, you stole that one. I paid $650 for my dash 2 model almost 10 years ago. Congrats.

Vette you "Stole" that K frame 10 years ago @ $650... The OP strait up "Strong-Arm-Robbed" the guy he got his for...

In all honesty, the OP's gun is an $1K to $1,200 piece "IF" bought on GunBroker... I'm happy both of you got yours for what you did.

I've wanted a K frame for years, same style, same model, same length... But the J and N frames are where my heart is and I don't need another "Smith n' Wesson" addiction so I'll leave the K's to you guys.

OP, nice score... You got something for 50% off that is near minty!
