I have been looking for a S&W M60 2" .38 Special (no dash) in 90% condition, no box or papers necessary off and on for the past few months and am quite frankly a bit surprised at what they are asking/selling for. Unfortunately my options are limited to online sites as I live in a small community and folks just aren't going to their LGD or pawn shop to sell their guns these days.
I should state I have no problem with newer Smiths with the I.L. or MIM parts and own a few, 686 4",60 3",43C 2". I am pleased with them but in the case of the M60 2" with the number of 2" ( no dash) produced I thought I would be able to find a nice one as I described for $500. So far not to be had. What I did come across was a NIB M60 2.125 " W/ I.L. never fired outside the factory for $450. I priced checked them and read some reviews but am still a bit leery, for some reason I'm still hug up on finding a no dash. The MSRP is $749 and the going rate on the usual sites is $599. The seller states he is just cleaning house at the years end.

Can anyone who has purchased this model give me their feedback or opinion on if they feel they made a good choice. I have already watched one to many videos on U-tube. I should mention that the one I am looking at has boot grips which I would have to change. Thanks In Advance

I have had both. The new one in 357 has a better trigger than any of those old ones . Just remenber you tube isn't always rite . That's a good price for a 60 !

I have a 60-16 stainless 2.125" barrel .38+P
It has the thicker walled barrel similar to a .357
Beautiful revolver no way I'd sell it. Needed some Wolff springs though to smooth out the trigger. Now it's perfect.
