Nickel finish recommendation

What would it cost to nickel finish a S&W model 17, and to whom would you send it to have the work done ? Thanks. MD

Welcome to the S&W Forums! Gotta ask, why? Plating is not going to increase value, it may even decrease value.

Thanks for the welcome. This is a great site. Just starting to get into 22LR revolver shooting Reason…. I just like the looks of a nickel finish. Sounds like from my local gun shop S&W performs this service. S&W has a long turn around time. Wondering if any other companies someone could recommend. Thanks. MD

S&W no longer nickel plates anything, the chemicals are not EPA friendly. Just remember, once you alter the finish, it will never again be an "original" firearm and as non-original, it can be harder to sell and you will never recover the cost of plating.
