Nickel Triple Lock

What's the serial number?

You seem to be on a roll. You've gotten several Triple Lock revolvers in a very short period of time.

I'm down to maybe one yearly on average. They've escalated in price recently but are still probably fairly priced as they were definitely underpriced pre inflation days.

Was it refinished?

Yes, would the OP provide several more photographs in better natural lighting, that would be greatly appreciated. It's difficult to tell from the photographs provided if a refinish or not.

It does look awfully shiny, but the serial number looks very crisp and the cam lock does not look to be refinished, both of which suggest original finish. Oftentimes, a refinished Triple Lock revolver ends up with a refinished cam lock, reblued or renickeled, whatever the case may be, obliterating the original case coloured surface.

Do you have a factory letter? If not, here's what it will say:

Triple Lock, sn 9383, 44 Special, 6 1/2" barrel, nickel finish, gold medallion grips, shipped to Cowdery Export Co., New York City on October 6, 1914.

I think it's a well executed factory refinish as well. I would contact the SWHF and see if they have any information on the work performed in December of 1979.
