Night Sight Question

Does anyone make a sight blade with a tritium insert for the Model 29/629 guns that have interchangable front sight blades?

i have the night sights on a model 657 41mag.

Meprolight offers a night sight insert that fits the dovetail for the red front sight insert used on those models that feature this front sight. However, S&W has not yet produced an interchangable front sight with this feature. So, your best option is to probably purchase a spare standard black ramp sight and have a gunsmith machine it for the dovetail insert.

Three or four companies have offered Tritium sights for the S&W IFS system.

The 627 in the upper left corner has one on it along with a Meprolight rear blade.

You can also send any blank blade that you own off to the various manufacturers Custom Shops and have a Tritium lamp installed.

I looked in my notes to see if I had the manufacturer of the one on my listed and I do not. I bought that one in 2002 from Brownells.

You might check SDM gunsights, they make fiber optic blades for the IFS S&Ws'.
