If you are interested in having the slide cut, Novaks low mount night sights look great on the 915.

I'm 99% sure that the Trijicon SA04 is the only aftermarket drop in night sight available for the 915. This place was blowing them out for $29.99 a few months back. (I bought two!) They are significantly more expensive now but still the cheapest according to a google search.

I just ordered a set from them,with shipping the cost was $82.94.
How easy do the old sights come off,do I drift them left to right or right to left and how easy do these go on?

Drift out left - right. Drift on right - left. There are two springs under the rear sight to watch out for. I had mine professionally installed so as not to invalidate the warranty.

I bought this pistol used,no idea how many before me owned it.Would S&W even warranty a used pistol made in 1993?

The Trijicon sights have a 12 year warranty against lamp failure but only if professionally installed.
