THANKS guys.
Does everyone go with the green for front and rear as Rangel recommends?
What about the TFO vs. Tritium?
.Hal
TFO stands for Tritium Fiber Optic.
It has both Tritium for night use, and fiber optic for daylight / lowlight situation. Best of all worlds as far as I am concerned.
As to color...
Everyone has different needs and preferances.
As others have stated, GREEN is the brightest and the human eye picks it up best. That said, I use GREEN on the front and YELLOW on the rear. The yellows are just SLIGHTLY dimmer than the green but provide an obviuos differance that allows me a very quick way to pick up and center the front sight in dark / low light situations. Just my personal preferance.

Had the TFO's they were nice but the trijicon HD's are the best. No distraction. I sometimes found that the TFO's front to rear were too bright and the same color made it worse. The HD's act like very good target sights as you really dont see the vials in the rear sight-just the huge front. Night sight wise typical trijicon. From what I have read the TFO's can be a little fragile while the HD's are built like tanks. I can rack the slide on a table from the rear sight. It was designed to do it and be that tough. For target plinking the TFO's should serve you well. For CC or HD I'd go with the HD's.
