325 NG hammer is rubbing the frame enough to slightly deform the edge and polish the left side of the hammer. Will a power custom shim square it away?

I'm not a gunsmith but have seen many S&Ws hammers walk up sidways a bit because the Dual Action Sear is not square causing the hammer to rub..
Here's a little video from Larry Potterfield from Midway USA that shows how to square up the two areas..
I've never used hammer shims on a S&W, maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in.
Good Luck!!

I see that some on newer ones. I think you can shim it as long as there is room for the shims and it doesn't bind.

There is a danger with stoning the end of the DA sear: it can cause binding on the DA pull as the hammer/trigger clearance gets too small on the lower trigger nose (aka, the "trigger cam").

I put one shim on the left side of the hammer regularly on the MIM FMFP revolvers. Check the hammer with a straight edge and make sure it's straight and not curved also.
