Anybody try this new scope? Looks like a cheaper version of the M-308.

I just saw that it was released a few days ago. My guess is that it's based off the Prostaff line like the M-series was based off the Monarch line. Beyond that, I think it might be too new to get much feed back yet.

Don't buy it or any scope that has predetermined ranges. They are calibrated for a particular barrel, velocity, and bullet weight. You're just going to end up frustrated if you expect any real world accuracy from that scope. Whats your budget? SWFA used to or still does make scopes for the military. Their tried and true SWFA SS Straight 10x is the best bang for your buck around $300. Good glass and is durable. I shot a friends .30-06 with a prostaff scope and i could barely see at 200 yards. Cheap glass. Golden rule is spend 50-70% that you spent on a rifle on a scope.

Yes after much thought I went with the Leupold VX-R 4-12x40mm with the ballistic Firedot reticle. Optic Planet has a 10% off deal going on with a $75 free gift card and free shipping. So my price was $540 with a $75 gift card I can use towards a mount. I didn't think that was to bad? I'm looking at the American Defense Recon QD mount so I can use it on a couple of different guns

i have the m-308 BDC and like it ALOT!! Still getting used to it/nikon has an app for ballistics that takes a ton of math out of the "dial in the dope" and makes it easier to use. I have heard the m-223 is a fantastic scope as well, but haven't tried it (yet)… I haven't heard about the p-308. If you get one share with the rest of us what you think. I'm keeping my m-308. Works fantastic out to about 450-yd. (so far)…I've heard they are good to 800, but I'm not a STA Marine with that capability, and a 500-yd shot is pretty darn good! I hope my worn out eyes will allow me to do it! If you get the p-308 let us know how it works out. Nikon has not let me down yet! Semper Fidelis.
