Nikon p22 scope?

That looks really nice. I put a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4x32 ($109 from Optics Planet) on my 15-22 recently. Very nice, and the Nikon Spot On program for these scopes is useful and fun to play with.
Take this for what it's worth since this is the first rifle scope I've ever owned. I used Nikons as a professional news photographer. Their cameras and support were always first-rate. So far it looks like their scopes are too.

I did the Prostaff too in a 3-9x40 BDC 150 flavor. I like it a lot and also very new to me. Only about a 100 rounds so far and playing with it. I do like the little zeros on the down to compensate for Bullet Drop. Got it for $170 at my local shop.

Hayden.

Ya i have an older Nikon Prostaff 3-9-40 scope on it I really like the look of the new turret designs and how it has the spring loaded turrets. I think im going to go out and pick on of these up and test her out

I have two Nikon ProStaffs, 4-12x40mm's, one Nikoplex (fine duplex) reticle then I got a BDC (bullet drop compensating) reticle.

Basically after a year of my brand new Remington 597 sitting in the closet on the floor, I decided to drop some dough on it to get it the tender loving care (and work) it sorely needed. After the VQ parts I added a scope, having read many good things about Nikon ProStaffs on here and say The Firing Line etc , and finding it on sale on MIdwayUSA from $200 to $160 I thought, it looks like a grreat price for a nice riflescope.

I liked it so much i got one for my Savage Mark II ...Which is the GXP model, extremely classy looking like a real deer rifle. Vs my 597 which was OD Green synthetic stock, now has a camo spray painted striped Rustoleum finish... much modern looking semi auto suburban sniper rifle. But BOTH are SO AWESOME with their Nikon ProStaffs 4-12x40mms and worth the price extremely high value.

I have an Aimpoint Micro R-1 for my 15-22, but I am seriously considering getting an additional scope, the P22, for my 15-22 and giving my M930SPX shotgun the Aimpoint Micro full time. Thats how much I love these ProStaffs. I know its not the top of Nikon's lin in fact its the entry level I believe, but its jusy so high i nqual I love thm.

I think it is very smart to get a scope for the MP 15-22 that is specifically set up for the .22LR. With the 50yd parallax setting and the BDC made for the .22LR trajectory, it is an excellent choice. Nikon is a good reliable brand.

The people who get a scope made for centerfire rifles and put it on a 15-22 make a huge mistake and waste their money for an inappropriate scope.

Anybody have experience with these Nikon rings? I'm looking for something a little taller than what I have holding my Prostaff scope now. A Nikon rep told me the distance from top of rail to centerline of scope would be about 1 3/8" with these.

I bought the p-22 NIKON with nicoplex reticle and the p series two piece scope mount will try to shoot it this weekend. Both the scope and mount are well made the scope is nice and clear really happy so far looks good too

Does it look like the 1 3/8" dimension Nikon told me for height of scope centerline above the top surface of the gun's rail is correct? I have not been able to find a dimensioned drawing of these mounting rings. Thanks.

Thanks, Mike. I think I might just order these. I started out with some cheap rings, which weren't quite high enough, then added a riser, which made it too high. Looks like these might be just right, and definitely tidier and lighter.

Ugh! I bought mine a few weeks before the rebate's beginning date. Think there's any chance of talking Nikon into giving me the 50 bucks?

Gatillo you might try Optics Planet. It's a Nikon rebate that can be used anywhere. O/P has free shipping that might save even more:)

Even better, I searched Amazon.com where I have a "prime" account and got free 2nd day shipping!

Looks like the rebate doesn't include the new P22 unless I'm missing something?

the p22 is the new scope. It just got introduced at shot show 12. I just ordered mine and its coming today I cant wait. Just about every website that i have found that sells it has the promo for the free mounts

P-22 great for targets or varments

I am just adding one as we speak. Base on my experience with it's big brother M-223 it is the way to go. Great features and top quality optics. Priced right and free rings ($50.00) at the moment, pull the trigger and buy now! This is the gun (M&P22-15) the Nikon P-22 was made for. Good luck!
