Im wondering what effect the J grips will have on my 340. Ive read here that it helps accuracy and recoil. I have CT 305's on now Im curious to see if there is a benefit with the Nills.
I dunno if they help with accuracy or not, but I am more accurate with my J-frame 649 with the Nill grips than my N-frame 327 which is Performance Center! Go figure. Might have something to do with practicing shooting the 649 a bit more or some combination of hand and grip size that is working. I have trouble keeping the 327 rock steady in DA even though it has a lighter trigger pull than the 649. I guess it shows that trigger pull isn't everything.

These (Ahrends) are half the cost of anything Nill and, at least for me, fit as if my hand was used as the pattern:

I first saw Nill grips on another gun forum and knew I had to get a set. Bought my first set for my Sig Sauer P220 Carry. What a beautiful set of grips. I recently acquired a S&W Model 41 and wanted to get some bling for it and ordered a set of Nill ambi grips for it. The Nill grips are pricey but worth it. BTW, I have a set of Ahrend cocobolo wood grips on my S&W 686 Plus which also is beautiful but much easier on the wallet.
I bought a set for my 460 as well as a set for my Sig 210 - can't say enough good about the product[although not inexpensive] but the fit and finish are first class!!
What model S&W is that haggis? That looks awesome. I'd try to get one but it looks like S&W no longer offers it or I don't see it on their web site.

It's a 625-10 with a Scandium frame. They also made a 625-11 in .45 Colt. Fairly small production: 300 of the -11 and maybe a few more of the -10.
This particular one went back to the Performance Center for a Master Action Job, dehorning the hammer, and the Nill grips.
If you find one to buy, be sure to check the frame under the barrel. Some barrels were overtightened at the factory and cracked the frame at that point. I don't think shooting them has anything to do with the cracked frame. I have about 500 rounds through mine with no frame crack so far. The problem is that there are no spare fixed sight frames for a repair. I think that S&W has given people another PC gun of their choice for those with cracked frames.

Nice. It has the same from as the 327 snub I like to carry so it is a really compelling gun. I found it for sale new in box but the cost is too rich for my blood at the moment. I hope it is re-offered at some point.
The 325 nightguard also looks good but the 2.5" barrel and weight just might be too much. The N-frame snub's carry, but there isn't much tolerence for extra length, at least for me.

I currently have four sets of Nill grips. Handgun grips can be a very personal thing but I have never found any that fit my hand better than these.
The next best were the Farrant grips for the model 19 and 66's we were issued. "Fuzzy" Farrant located in West Covina, CA made these back in the 60's and 70' and they made instinct shooting these guns like pointing your finger.
