Just purchased a 617 of auction arms. 4" with target hammer and trigger. No combats or box, but I plan to shoot the heck out of it. It ended up being 570 with shipping.

Seemed a little expensive but I'm looking forward to it.

I also have a used 581 sitting at the dealer that's gonna be doing a transfer that I picked up for 255 OTD. Has a small speck of rust on the side plate and some holster wear but the timing is good. I'll post pics when the show up.

He states its a target hammer and trigger, but when you look at the pictures it doesn't look like it. We shall see when it arrives. Either way it's still a 4" 6 shot 617 ive been trying to find for a while.

A six shot 617 is getting hard to find, people are holding on to them. I have a six inch set up with a six and ten shot cylinders. The ten shot takes a special hand for it. You will enjoy your new toy.

If it's in nice condition you won't regret the purchase!

Nice! I was watching that one myself!

That's a great buy by CA standards! Of course, you had no bidding competition from anyone here, because the No-Dash is not on our 'Approved List'.

Simply ridiculous...

I'll be a happy man once my move to Georgia next month is complete! No-Dash's & No-Locks, you will soon be mine!

Nice snag!

Great price for the 581.

I bought a 617-0 6" for $325.00 in 2003 with original grips and box. Shoots good. I've been looking for a used 617 4" but see the prices of used ones for about what you paid. Course with the new ones going for $900, you did okay.

That's why, when I asked a 'smith to convert my 6 shot to 10 shot he said it would take a special hand and wouldn't do it.

prices are getting crazy. this time last year I bought the 617, 6 inch new(10shot) for 680 plus tax here locally. can't believe 900 now. and thats for that dang lock too. I don't think it's too bad a deal.
