Years ago I took pictures of all my friends guns he'd engraved.

He found out a couple months ago he had stage 4 inoperable lung cancer. He called me this afternoon and asked if I could come over a while. He really went down hill fast since I saw him a couple weeks ago.

Before I left he handed me a box, and told me he wanted me to have it. Opened it up and it was his no dash 66. It was the 3rd gun he'd engraved when he started. I've never been a fan of engraved guns, but I'll treasure this one forever.

Sucks to get a really nice gun due to really bad circumstances. I have a 2.5", 3" and 4" 66 now.

So sorry for your friends situation. That’s a fine looking piece. I’d cherish it forever. He will be with you in your heart and in your safe always!

That is quite a gift, and tells me that your friendship is valued a lot by your friend. Hopefully, your friends health issues turn around for him and he can regret having parted with such a fine revolver prematurely. Regardless, I would spend as much time as you can helping your friend and his family through what is surely a terrible time. He obviously thinks a lot of you.

That’s a beautiful revolver and a touching gift. Cancer sucks. I’m very sorry for your friend.

What a nice gift from a good friend. Something you will remember forever I bet. I’m so sorry your friend has cancer. I was hoping they’d find a cure for cancer in my lifetime, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Mighty fine looking pistol.

We are only here for a short time. Your friend gave you an heirloom that will be passed down forever in your family, so he will live on. I wish I had the skill to engrave. All I will leave to the future generations is money, and once they burn thru that my legacy will be forgotten. You have a valuable touch point to his legacy. Your friend lived well!
