No more Sigma's?

Im wondering if this has something to do with the old lawsuit? I mean why wait so long to redesign the sear assembly? S&W could have redesigned the Sigma sear years ago and moved much more volume.

I think the price of used sigmas will remain fairly steady. There is going to be a market that remembers a sigma they had and liked it, there will be people who will buy it just because it's out of production, and people will buy it for the fact that it a smith and wesson.

Remember, the gun wasn't that expensive when it was new, and regardless of the sigma stigma, they are still quality reliable firearms.

I also don't see it becoming collectable. There are a ton of them out there.

It won't stop the guys at the gun shows though. Rossi made a single shot rifle in .410/45Colt. It sold new for $179. Right after they discontinued them I was at a gun show and a guy had a used one at his table. I asked how much and he says, "$350, they don't make them anymore you know."
If that guy gets his hands on any Sigmas he's gonna think he can get rich quick!

Mine came with a cardboard box, still have everything as new (bought it in Feb.) Since I got my Sig 40 (end of March) I haven't shot my Sigma anymore and it had 500-600 rounds through it flawlessly. Still look new but it came with two 10 round mags and I bought a 16 round mag.

I got it back in the box and stashed away. Gonna wait and see what comes out of it. :)

Guess it depends on where you're at. I bought my 9mm sigma in Florida NIB for $335 on 5/2/12. And I got a good deal.

I was talking to an SW salesman yesterday. He said the Sigmas have
been discontinued in favor of the SD model. I live in Cincinati. jed

Figures, just as I have finally decided to buy one. Now I don't know whether to go ahead and purchase the 40 @ $329, or wait to get the new breed. Used go for $279 around here.

I wasn't that lucky. I bought my 9mm in Feb at the range and all they could get was the model with two 10 rnd mags for $320.

Not that I'm complaining, it's a damn good gun.

The deal I got was through S&W itself I think they are still offering discounts deals to vets
