Last fall I tried to find a new place for us to hold the Southwest Bunch meetings (Saturday evening after the Wanenmacher Tulsa Arms Shows) that we had been having at the Best Western by the airport. I didn't have any luck then and I haven't now. http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/688816-southwest-bunch-april-2023-see-post-3-a.html

The Best Western flatly refused to reopen their meeting room. I personally visited 20+ hotels and they mostly have no or too-small meeting rooms. The hotels that do have a meeting room large enough also don't allow outside food, and want to do the catering themselves at $35 or so per person (after fees and taxes), not including the room rental.

I also looked at other places such as VFW halls and the like, and the least expensive I found was again the Junior League of Tulsa at around $950, which was rejected last year.

I give up. Sorry.

Thanks for trying Tom. Dad and I will be missing the bunch, maybe we can scout around some while we are up that way.

Sorry, but I just don't get it.

How in the world is Oklahoma a Southwest State.

Oh, I now see why: Because the Government says so?

US Department of Labor
States included in the Southwest Region: Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
As seen on the Department of Labor listed map.

I found other non government sources list Nevada, Utah, Colorado & New Mexico as the Southwestern states

To me Arizona and New Mexico are the True Southwestern States. :)

Ok, I will let in Nevada & Colorado but only because they have deserts.
