Nordic Track treadmill problem.

Model A2050. The console buttons aren't working properly. #1 speed button works. #7 speed button works. The "lower speed" button works from #7 speed.

I pulled the treadmill/motor cover and adjusted the reed switch. (Specs call for it to be 1/8 inch from the magnet.) Replaced cover and it worked fine.

The next day, (Sunday), my wife got on it and it again is working the same as before I worked on it.

Suggestions?

No suggestions and sorry I can't help, but it sounds like you may need some advice from the manufacturer. If you contact them, I hope you will post your impressions. My experience is just one man's, but years ago when I had trouble with my equipment (the old x-country type ski machine) I was not at all impressed with the company - and put them in cold storage. I wonder if anything has changed in that regard. I think the company has been bought & sold several times since then.

I thought these things were just supposed to sit in a corner of the bedroom to trip over in the middle of the night until you put them in a yard sale?

I contacted them and they were very helpful, running through some seqencing tests over the phone. It's working as of this AM (Monday), but we'll see. It may need a new console which means it's outlived its usefulness.

The only complaint I had was that the girl couldn't tell me the band playing the jazz guitar instrumental (that they play while you're on hold).
