Is North Korea gonna launch that missile? Kind of looks like they are backed into a corner. I expect they will and we won't do anything about it other than some threats that won't make a darn one way or the other.

I do agree there is little we can do. Among other weapons they have massed artillery that can reach populace South Korea, and they seem inclined to go to war if we interfere with their missile launch.

The real question is who (if anybody) is running the show in North Korea. Kim has apparently had a stroke and is seriously impaired. If he's not in charge, the people who are, might either have little leeway to act, or are substituting bluster for rational calculation.

A cruise missle comes flying out of the ocean. It destroys their rocket on the pad. There are several countries with submarines that have cruise missle capability. Who's to say who launched it? How could they say it was the USA?

I agree. If we do kill it the world needs to know it was us. Our current leadership can't see the fact that we need to show that we are willing and able to run the show.

When asked about the proposed NK missle launch, he said that he would issue a "stern" warning.
