Went to Cabela's this morning for supplies and to look at revolvers. I would like to buy a new one this year.
Was shocked to see almost no S&W revolvers I stock. The salesman said they sell as quick as they come in.

Know what you mean, called around this morning looking for a M69 or M66 and no one had anything.

Yes, I know a fellow that buys & sells nice S & W revolvers that always has a table at the local gun show. Show runs Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday, and usually whatever he brings to sell is gone by early Saturday morning. The demand is constantly increasing.

When I bought my 625PC, I thought I could go to a store and check out a 625PC, a 625JM and a 325TR. HA! The best I could find is a shop that had one of the PC or the JM. None had the TR. Instead of driving around, I just settled on the PC and ordered it. That was a few years ago. I can imagine that it's even harder to find something in a shop to actually examine before you buy it.

The revolver market here in central IL seems pretty robust, too, as a lot of shelves are bare. I mulled over a 617 for a couple days, decided to buy it, the LGS sold it. Lesson learned. Buy now, fret about it later.
