I can't call this my Grail gun because I never imagined it in my wildest dreams. Oh, I had been wanting another 1899 Target, preferably in Nickle this time, but this one never crossed my mind.
Model of 1899, 6.5" nickle, Target Model, Grade 3 factory engraved by Oscar Young.

When it popped up on GB, I put a watch on it just to see how much it would bring, never intending to enter the fray. When I looked at it several hours before the auction ended, I thought it was way too cheap. After getting a 32-20 Model 1899, I checked it again with 20 minutes left and there had not been any new bids, so I threw out a number and walked away, never dreaming it would wind up with me.

Regards,
Bruce
