I couldnt be here yesterday due to being shanghaied by my older sister.Anyway, she decided to get me out of the house for a """"quick lunch invite"" which I KNEW was going to take at least four hours.Well,on Wed--I had gone to the local Academy here as I found they had many bricks of twenty two in. Lucky they had it because,as I was taking a short cut to their store,I smashed my forehead into a fence board knocking myself silly and thinking I had done some damage to recent surgery areas. Anyway,I figured they would be sold out by the time I got there--as usual, but nope,I saw they had about thirty or so boxes of the five hundred round boxes, and a few of the Winchester bricks. Anyway,I bought my one and left
Well since I was being forced to go shopping as well--with my sister--we went to Portland--which is just across the Causeway bridge here in my area. They had an Academy open there last year and have been getting the lions share of any twenty two that comes in--due to being a new store.
I walked in and headed directly for the ammo section figuring they would be sold out. My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.I saw at least seventy boxes of the Remington, and about fifty of the Winchester bulk packs.. I asked why they still get the lions share of twenty two--knowing full well Id get a BS reply--I did.Anyway, those including the fifty and hundred round packs on the shelf,I figured to be well in excess of one hundred thousand rounds. Academy may have no shortage--except for the store in Corpus Christi. anyway,I ended up with a brick. While my sister was at another section of counter, some guy asked her to buy a brick for him since he just bought one but, alas--to no avail. Hell, I couldnt get her to get one for me even though I could pay her back immediately. She was interested in buying swimming trunks for the grand kids, and not anything of actual use--like ammo. She gave me a lecture I closed my ears to--on buying "too much ammo."
Next,I was forced to go WM.Well, while my sister went here way--I went to the ammo counter and found many one hundred rd packs of CCI,so I bought three. The kid at the counter had no clue how many a person could buy, and Icould have lied but,I didnt.I could have easily taken it all. No bricks there though.
What my sister doesnt know--aint going to affect her. This week alone, ive picked up a mere fifteen hundred rounds various twenty two. Glad nobody here knows my sister--so they cant snitch on me if they were so inclined.
Im satisfied but,had my sister played ball?I could have had another five hundred rounds.
