Why everyone raves about these little 32's. I picked up this 432pd a while back and its finally earned a nod for a CCW. It originally came with the S&W factory crimson trace grips, no box, and was priced at $520 out the door. Seeing as this is the first one I've ever seen in person and priced a bit lower than market, I had to scoop it up.

6 shots, can fire shorts/longs/magnums, lightweight, manageable recoil. What's not to like? I've plugged the IL (thanks JD!) put in a wilson spring in it, and put some beater magnas on it. I feel like this is the perfect middle ground between my 7 shot shot 351c 22 mag and my 640 no dash. The only thing I wish it had is a pinned front sight.

Who else loves their 32 H&R magnum?

Way too lazy to try to find mine and dig it out, but I'll tell you and all that I love it and honestly can't imagine getting rid of it...which is why it is buried safe from the light of day. Honestly, forgot I even had it until I read your post!

I just bought one on gunbroker. Now I am waiting impatiently for the post office to deliver it to my FFL

I have a Model 351 PD. I have never fired it but I'm dying too. .22 mag. If anyone on this forum who has ever fired one I would love to know how it honestly feels. Thank you much.

.22 Magnum in the S&W 351...

The .22 Magnum in the S&W 351 is very close to the feel of a .22 Velocitor out of a S&W 43c, ie, not enough recoil to bother you. I own both. I have seen the videos on velocity/penetration and the .22 Magnum out of a 2 inch revolver is about the same as the .22 long rifle. That came as a disappointment for the .22 Magnum but after a while, I reconciled myself to those facts. Anything you carry will be a compromise and you just need to stay within what you are capable of and what the gun/ammo you carry is capable of.

Just seems like ammo availability and range of bullet weights, designs is pretty limited with the .32 as compared to a .357/.38 revolver

As a bullet caster I find the 32 mag almost ideal. I use mine for small game or targets mainly but they dote on 90-120 gr bullets with the 98 RCBS being great in all. Mine are a Ruger SSM and a CA Professional. They are economical on lead and powder and the report is not usually ear shattering. They are not the only cartridge to have but they certainly fill a niche. 32 has been cheaper for me to load than I could purchase 22 lr for since 2004. 38 Special has occasionally come near that but comes in well behind the little 32.
