I've been carrying an M&P9c now since November 08'. And I'll confess, unlike many who write in trying to glean advice on how to keep their carry guns looking pristine, today I'm celebrating the exact opposite?
Today I'm celebrating that after 9+ months of OWB carry under a shirt, I've FINALLY been successful at wearing through a spot on the front of the slides finish! Right behind that, is the small spot becoming polished through the matte black finish on the Novak's wide notch night sights I had installed. And upon very close inspection, I'm pleased to report that soon I'll see polished metal free of finish on the ambidextrous slide stop too!
I really don't like the "NIB" look for a carry piece. Now after 9 or 10 months and 2-3K rounds through it, she's starting to look like a used bar of soap, rather than a newly unwrapped one.
Now it looks at least a bit more, like a "20 mission" hat!
