If I'm breaking any forum rules, please let me know.

Some NRA Board members have gotten a special Life Member deal approved to challenge Directors to actively recruit new Life Members. It's something of a competition among the Board, but the deal is only available until March 17, so just a few days.

************
The offer has been EXTENDED to April 20!
There's also a Special Annual Membership deal for just $18.71!
We're inviting folks to join for a year and let us prove ourselves.
************

A Life Membership is normally $1,500 but this offer cuts that by more than 50% to only $600. That's less than I paid for my Life Membership back in 1978.

You might find a better deal in person at the Annual Meetings, but I doubt it.

If you, or someone you know would like to take advantage of this offer, just drop me an email at JeffKnoxFC at gmail dot com (in the standard format) and I'll send you the simple form you'll need to mail in. There's no limit on how many memberships you buy -- for kids, grandkids, spouse, neighbors, etc. -- but the window is only open until the 17th, and only available from an NRA Director.

Send questions to the same email. You can post questions here, but I can't guarantee I'll see it in time to be of use.

Thanks,

Jeff Knox
Director of The Firearms Coalition
NRA Board of Directors since May of 2024

I am already a life member, became a lifer in the mid-1990's when the NRA offered a discounted program, I think they also allowed installment payments for that life membership program. It sure made becoming a lifer a lot easier on my budget.

I also got mine in the early '90s when they ran a discounted price and $25 a month installments. I think the full price at the time was $500. I can't remember what the one time discounted total was. Maybe $400 if it was that much? Anyway, it was worth every penny!

NRA only stops soliciting if you specifically request to be put on the "No Solicitation" list.
BUT...
We are revamping all of the solicitation programs to better focus our efforts and reduce the volume of solicitations that go out. We're also working to better coordinate solicitations from different divisions of NRA, so you don't get letters from NRA, the Foundation, NRA-ILA, and the NRA PAC, all at the same time, and we're revamping our membership records to avoid soliciting Life Members to join or renew, and to stop sending renewal notices to people who have already paid for 5 years of membership.
You'd think all of these things would have already been taken care of, as they're pretty basic, but unfortunately, the system was built on a bass-ackwards process that put incentives on the wrong end of solicitations.
Our phone and direct mail vendors were paid on a basis that incentivized volume out, rather than focusing on results in. Stupid, I know.
We're fixing all of that, doing more of this work in-house, and reducing our reliance on outside vendors.
Doug Hamlin is doing a great job.

Please Note: The $600 Life Membership offer has been extended to April 20, and regular Annual Memberships are also on sale until then for just $18.71 per year!
For less than $20 bucks, folks can join or rejoin, show support for the efforts we're making, and if we don't live up to our promises, at least you helped us try.

At the <$20 price I suggest you consider gift memberships for people you know who might have even a minor interest in shooting. For about the cost of a box of ammo you might get someone new involved.

I haven’t received a solicitation phone call since informing them that, at the time I was working third shift and would greatly being placed on the “Do Not Call” list.

When I signed up for “Lifetime” membership the standard price was $600. I got in for half price, $300. I had been on the 5 year plan twice when I upgraded to life.

I’ve since made annual donations since being placed on the no call list.
