NRA election coming up

I have always wondered the same thing. I’d believe many, if not most, don’t contribute much worthwhile beyond showing up for meetings. I am always in a quandary over who to vote for as all I know is what their mini-bios say, and they may not be factual. Normally I vote for only a few on the ballot who seem to be little more impressive.

Do these board members get paid?
If so, maybe it’s time for a visit from Elon Musk.

My wife and I have been NRA life members for a very long time.

25 years ago, we were excited to be part of the NRA. We participated on many levels and were proud to be part of their work.
The last several years, though, have obviously been a mess.

Despite this year’s “important” election, we have seen and read nothing by any of the candidates besides ugly bickering and vague accusations.
The website listed in the original post was useless from the standpoint of campaign issues.
If you want people to vote for you, they need a reason to do so beyond accusations against other candidates.

So, our ballots, along with the magazines they came in, went in the trash. We just let it slip by.

Oh well.

Whoever is running the show now at the NRA: good luck.
We miss you.

I will likely get my knuckles rapped for posting this, but I will do it anyway! For those who know that the NRA board lost its way, do you really think that by not voting for new board members that the board will magically turn around? In my opinion, by doing nothing, you are endorsing the current board. I'm guessing that you also do not vote in political elections for the same reason.

Good point.
But, it seemed like nobody made their case.
Was it really “vote for these guys because they’re not the other guys”?
For me, that didn’t seem very convincing. The last few issues of AR were of no help either.
For the most part, it felt like a campaign of mudslinging.
Making an informed choice didn’t seem possible.

Maybe I wasn’t clear, but, we weren’t protesting by not voting. We tried to figure out. Then, we just forgot about it.

I guess we’ll see how things turn out.
But, your point is well taken.
I probably made a mistake and should’ve tried harder. Maybe there was more to find out through “NRA 2.0”.

My attitude with MY vote was to xxxxcan as many
of the known clowns who let Waynus buy suits as
possible.

It's kinda like voting for district court judges. If
you can't recall anything good they have done,
don't reelect them. Put somebody else in. Now,
all the legacy cretins who are left may rethink
their past actions.
