"The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school’s security preparedness, the failure of America’s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System, or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement."

I just sold one of my employees my 90% 4.2" .357 Ruger SP101 for $400. I threw in a 100 round White box of .38s, a box of Golden Sabre .357 mags, a nice gun rug and an ambi Uncle Mike's holster. Then I kicked him back 30 bucks for him to join the NRA. Probably not my best financial deal, but I feel pretty good about it.

At last.....

It thrills me to hear what has been needing to be said. I've always told people that my guns have absolutely NOTHING to do people who foment violence on others. I've had them for almost 40 years and they have never hurt a soul.

I've also said that the NRA needs to come off of sounding like the bad guy that just wants more guns but do something positive. Lobbying politicians is a necessary action, but giving a more positive image of the NRA and us gun owners has been sorely lacking.

While you are lobbying, don't forget to emphasize safety and the responsibilities of gun owners along with education.

Thank you Dana Loesch!

I just donated 200 bucks to them, I was so tired of listening to a false narrative by the MSM. So I did what I could do donate and kelp them change the current false narrative. I do believe there will be 10 Million members by summertime......

Looking to up my membership also but I have started doing something I haven't in tne kast and that's encouraging other gun people to get involved in our NRA .It is time for us to do something about guns in America the liberals are correct on that.I feel the households in our country that have firearms are way under reported as most gun owners don't advertise the fact especially if asked by a reporter or telephone caller ..My goal this year is to get at least two new members to join if all of us do that we can get some of our brothers and sisters to come out of the shadows and stand with us on this " civil rights question" .We as a group do make a big difference and if we can double or triple our membership numbers in a couple of years that would be something .Im not a wealthy person but I am saving towards a life membership and try to send the ILA a little money now and then but I feel I can do more so my goal is trying to recruit .My local gun shop guy told me it was fine with him if I hung out on occasion and talked to new gun buyers about joining.

I have told this story before, but I think it bears passing along again.

My late father bought his Life Membership in the NRA back in the 1950's, when Life Memberships cost $50 or $100. I think it was in the 1980's that NRA was having a concerted campaign to pay off the current headquarters building. Pop told me that he sent in a contribution to help pay off the building because he felt guilty for living so long. We were blessed to have Pop with us for another 30 years.

Pop wasn't a joke teller, but he could sometimes express some sharp humor that came with a point as a message. If you bought a Life Membership a long time ago, assess whether you've received more than your money's worth and then consider a contribution in the nature of an amount near the price of a box of shells to keep the work of the NRA going.

I became a life member in 1968 when i was a young spec 4 in the army. The fee was $100 which I paid off at th rate of $12.50 per month. That was the best $100 I ever spent. I have often thought I should upgrade but kept putting it off. Yesterday I upgraded to Endowment Life Member because of the attack on the NRA. I also talked a friend to renew his lapsed membership.
