The thing that gets me is the provision they snuck in requiring micro stamping. That technology does not exist yet. Companies won't do it just to appease NY. Does that mean no New gun sales in NY????? Also u will need a permit to posses a semi auto not just to buy one. It takes over a yr to get a pistol permit in NY. How long will this permit take? Who issues it? Will be interesting to see how this ends up after the law suits. And if u have to be 21 to buy it perhaps all the indoctrinated 18 yr olds should have to wait 3 yrs to vote. This state & country are more concerned with allowing boys to compete athletically against girls than they are in locking down and securing schools.

On the question: Why shouldn't the civilian population be allowed body armor? Not everyone who wears this protection is a criminal. Example I know a deli-corner store owner in a bad location they all wear vests.

Connecticut banned the Remington 7615 which was a pump action rifle that accepted AR-15 magazines.

The court threw out that ban as the was no evidence to support a rational basis for the legislature to ban pump rifles.
