Nylon cable ties, where to buy cheapest?

I want to purchase 1K or 2K of 7" blue nylon cable ties (zip ties), where can they be bought for the lowest price? Prefer an on-line source with cheap or free shipping if possible. I am donating these to my daughter's school to secure a windscreen on a softball field fence.

I got a huge bunch of them at "Northern" last year...they had various sizes, colors, etc. Can't recall if they were a good deal or not, but I think they have a web site. Good luck, B

If they are going to be outside, make sure to use UV protected ties or they will split and release. Most colored ties are not.

Ask your local cable or phone company for them...they have millions and would most likely donate them if you told them what you needed them for...

I was up a pole one day and a kid wanted the roll of tape hanging from my belt. I told him I would need it and he said if I didn't give it to him he would cut down the pole while I was on it. I told him to go ahead. He went in the house and came out with a butcher knife and cut on the pole while I was up there. Whan I started down he ran and I let it go. Larry

If you can't get them donated, try your local electric wholesaler. The place the electrical contractors get their stuff at. I buy them for my computer company. That is where I get mine. They run about $10/thousand. Much cheaper then buying them retail anywhere.

I was at Home Depot a month ago looking for "about 100" 3" ties....and found them in multi colors, for around $5/bag.

Then I got looking around...more sizes, more colors, and larger bags were cheaper.

Finally I came across a canister full of the Little Giant Lifetime Supply of about a 1000 in a half-dozen different lengths....for $9.99!!! No blue ones in that bunch though....
