Hi all, I just bought a new box of PMC 165 grain target ammo and it has some really weird coloring on the casing toward the bottom the coloring doesn't go all the way around on any of the casings just about half way around it. I'm just asking what you guys think it might be or if it might be dangerous to use, I don't want to get hurt or hurt anyone else by using bad ammo.

Look at the inner tray and see if the discoloration line matches the top edge of the tray, if it does I'd suspect a bit of moisture and the brass tarnished a bit. Unless it's rough I wouldn't worry about it. I reload all mine and use stainless steel pin cleaning which cleans everything off the brass. My cases turn that darker color in a couple of days after cleaning. If I polish them in media then they stay bright but I really don't care about appearances. ;) As long as they feed, fire, and eject they pass the test.
