Oddball calibered guns

I've got a Winchester 94 in 7-30 Waters that I haven't shot in a long time. It's a very accurate lever gun, maybe I need to blow the dust off of it.......

Remington XP-100 in 223 Rem, Thompson Center with three .30 Herrett barrels (10" bull with scope, 10" bull with iron sights, Super 14 with scope), Browning A-bolt chambered in 30-06 Ackley Improved, Taylors Arms Quigley in 45-70. 30 Herrett is a wildcat based on a cut down 30-30 case with no factory loded ammo. I have about 800 pieces of twice fired brass.

I have 4 cases of rare 22 LR sitting on the shelf. Just lucky,I guess.

the .35 S&W looks like it might be a challenge.

Have you tried it with .32ACP? Some work and some don't. Mine is perfectly happy with the 32acp round. Stretches the cases a bit but no problems with feed, function and ejection.

Remington Model 8 in .30 Remington. My brother has it now and routinely takes deer with in it Northern WI. Finding that old ammo is a mother...

Cyrano, Good luck with the Ross if you get it. If it is one of the Commercial Ross Model they are a beautiful piece of hardware. I had one years ago and wish I hadn't let it go. As I remember they can be a bit of a hassle to load for. To get the true performance out of them requires jacketed bullets and none were available in the Ross bore size. It was a case of shooting cast (which can't be pushed any where near .280 velocities) or making up some kind of a swaging die and forming your own jacketed. Maybe somebody is making the correct diameter currently.

Its a M 10, and quie lovely. the finish is umbelievable, and it has the pop up peep on the receiver. I also have a M1905 and M1910 in .303 but they're not quite the same thing. Years ago Barnes made .288" bullets, but I don't know whether they still do. Brass is available from Bertram. don't know what to do for loading data: Phil Sharpe's data is all in obsolete powders.

Nice collection, Ivan; I'm envious of quite a few of those rifles.

I'm a long time fan of the 7/30 Waters and have a contender barrel that is my main deer rifle.

I also LOVE the *obsolete* (per TheInternet) 38 Special :)

Andy Griffith, you have a PM about an Armstrong 4 gauge shotgun.
If anyone has info on this gun, we will appreciate anything we can learn
thanks

I thought I'd complain about finding components for my 32 H&R Mags, but you folks all got me beat by a long shot. :)

I have two Remington #3 Hepburns chambered in 38-50 Remington. It is essentially a 38-55 on steroilds. I form the cases from 30-40 Krag cases. I use them to shoot competitive target and silhouette matches. I also have two drillings. One of them is a double 16 GA and a 9.3X72R rifle barrel and the other one is a double 16GA and a 9.3X82R rifle barrel. I can find ammo for the 9.3X72R but not for the 9.3X82R. I have bought a couple of boxes of Beltran 9.3X82R brass but it is expensive and bad brass. Most of the cases split longitudinally when I fire them. I bought 200 pieces of Norma 9.3X72R brass so I am all set for it.

Only the ones I load for:
45-90
40-75 Sharps Straight
41 long Colt
38 long Colt
7.63 Mauser
38 S & W (ok, not so weird)

Revolvers:

.30 rimfire
10.35mm
8mm
.450
.476
These are police issued revolvers.

However,in a more practical vein, I have recently fallen madly in like with the .45GAP round in my Glock 38!
