Official: New S&W Shield 2.0

Just an excuse to buy another gun, My shield 9mm (bought when they first came out 2012 with safety) have awesome triggers at least mine do. The grip never really bother me as I have the Talon Grip rubber ones on. Bought a NO safety Shield 9mm which has been equally reliable and accurate. and last year bought the shield 45 which is another fine gun. Been very very happy with the S&W M&P line specially the Shields
I'll buy the Shield 2.0 just to have another shield NOT because I thinks its a better performing gun

Went to a few different gun shops here locally and got to handle the new 2.0. I don't know if it was me but the aggressive grip texture did not seem as aggressive as my full sized 2.0 did when I first got it. Could be that I have gotten use to the texture from handling my full size so much. I ended up ordering the standard 2.0 shield 9mm with no safety and should be here early next week. Looking forward to breaking it in.

The only 2 things the 2.0 Shield can do my old made 3 months ago Shield cant do is 1) scrape my side due to grips texture and 2 ) cost a he-l of a lot more!

Me too! There's nothing wrong with my current Shield (NTS). It goes bang every time and hits whatever I point it at. You can't really ask for more than that. I'm in love with my new 45 Shield, since I installed the Stainless Steel guide rod, too.

We have over 400 shields that we need to sell through at my store. The 2.0 is a good improvement though. I am willing to bet the bodyguard gets the 2.0 treatment next.

I would definitely be interested in an improved M&P 380. I like my current one, but I don't love it.

Be careful talking about SS guide rode here. They will turn on you quick lol.
Btw, mine is still running strong even though many predicted catastrophic failure.
