I use two banks, USAA and my small local bank. Never had a problem with USAA, none, plus they refund ATM Fees.
My local banks is great too, I need it because a lot of places here would consider USAA an out of state check.
What I like about my "small town bank" is the service. If I'm out and about and find a car or something I just got to have, I call the bank tell them what I'm gonna do, they give me the money and tell me to stop by the next time I'm in town to sign the paper work.
USAA is pretty much the same way but there is the "mail lag time" for some stuff. Plus their auto insurance is about the best you can find.
