Gday all,
Have been doing gunshows and all the gun related adds looking for that one elusive extra Victory model for my collection. 4 inch barrel 38spl with just something different from the norm. I came away from the latest show with a Walther P38 in very good condition. No decent Victories to be seen. Anyway my appologies its a Walther ac over 43 made Feb 1943 and shoots better than I can. I will enjoy her. I also remember looking for a Colt SAA a few years ago and ended up with a S&W Russian 1st model 1st contract reject. Any one else ever went looking for something and came away with something probably as equally as good but totally unexpected. The P38 is a rare find in Australia these days. I am happy. My hunt for another Victory is not over, just delayed a little!!

Rgds
Bob

Oh, yes the best laid plan's of mice and gun buyer's! Sound's like a nice one and yes we do require pic's. You are not alone, many the time's I went in search of a paticular gun and came home with some bizzare thing or another.

Gday all, forgive me, no pics at present as dont have a working camera, also am on dialup so that also makes it tedious. Watch this space will endeavour to place pics asap.

I have a 1943 Walther made P-38 and it shoots better than I can. Sounds like you found a treasure.

Colour me jealous. Every time I find one the owner either wants stupid money, it has been cold blued (YECH!), chromed (double YECH) or I come up against the "I cannot be beaten" guy at auctions.
