A 5-screw K-38 is probably my next S&W. Guess it needs to be a 6" to match the 5-screw K-22 and 4-screw model 48.
Absolutely gorgeous 14!! I still have the full target 14-3 8 3/8" I bought new from Montgomery Ward in 1979! I think it was $189.
"More than I need, less than I want" works well too!
You sure can burn up some ammo. I like revolvers because you just eject the empty cases in a range box. With autos you are always chasing brass.
38's in a 6" k frame is nothing but pleasure. Take it out to 100 yards

Beautiful revolver!
Here are a couple of them. English walnut and birdseye roasted flame maple. I waited 2 years for the English walnut. Jennifer said they are the nicest grips they have ever produced.
The other set I just happened onto. Some guy ordered them, and waited over a year and a half, and then did not take them. Cannot imagine why.

Hasbeen, your 14 is a beauty! When I saw John's beautiful cocobolos on it, I thought maybe you snuck into my safe and swiped them from me!

Nice guns and grips here! The K-38 Masterpiece of the heavy variety is the finest target revolver ever made (it is the S&W forum) I've not been without a couple since 1976, they never fail to make me shoot better than probably should.
