OK, I'm weak, another followed me home

Driving home I spotted a small shop that I did not know was there. Of course I had to check it out......looking around I spotted my new acquisition, in the far corner of the display case I see this 4" S&W ....it is a 19-3 nickel w/target grips. Pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, decent condition. My, My it's home now. Paid up, but it sure cleaned up nice serial puts it at 1973.

That is a beauty, like nothing I ever see down here. Mind saying what it went for? I'm going to guess, that IF one like it ever showed up around here, (well, the counter guys would scarf it up) I'd guess it would be tagged at $850-$950. I could be light at that!

OP: You are NOT weak-minded. You buy guns like this just so somebody else doesn't get them. "They" cannot appreciate them like we can! My buddy who just closed his LGS used to love to hear me say: "I gotta buy this!"

An old magazine article from 1970 or so directed at retailers listed the 4 major reasons for retail purchases, and NEED was at the very bottom. Almost didn't make the list!

Congratulations on a fine revolver! When i saw it and you were from Pa i thought it was the one sitting in my LGS. Stopped by today and its still there. Cant believe it has not sold. Oh well someone will give it home someday. I already have one or it would be mine. Enjoy.
