New to site. I have this Perfected nickel 6" with rubber grips. It has the S&W logo on the left side below the thumb release and 38 s&w ctg on the left side of the barrel just in front of the cylinder. 15xxx. The others I have seen have the logo on the right side plate and no writing on the left side of the barrel. Can anyone help? I am working on sending a photo.

Welcome to the Forum. I do have some information that may be of interest to you included in an old Expert Commentary on this model. The WWI era between 1916 and 1920 was when the factory stopped using the S&W logo. It is likely that your revolver was made in those years. I would say that your revolver may have a serial number above 45,000 to near the end of production, around 58,000 range? Those are the years without logos.
