Old Lobo is retiring

Glad I finally made my mind up and got our order in. I guess the holsters that my partner and I will be wearing at our big revolver event will be as rare as the 3" Model 66's that will be in them.
Enjoy retirement. Having no real demands on your life is pretty nice,

WHAT!!!!!!!! I'd just about made up my mind about which OWB holster I wanted for my 3" 66....................

Good luck...... enjoy and when you get bored you can always reopen :D

Mr. Cory;

Did you not read the card that I sent you a while back that said I only had a couple more guns to buy and a few more of your holsters?

Seriously though I am glad that I joined this forum and learned of your great products and what a true craftsman you are. I have purchased several of your holsters and have nothing but good things to say about you and your work.

I have always appreciated your straightforward nature when you are on the forum and in doing business with you.

Enjoy your retirement and thanks for being a stand-up guy.

Darn. I only managed to get one holster from you. At least it was a classic Tom Threepersons.
I sure wish you would reconsider. If not, have a great retirement. :)

Boy !!! Ain,t they gonna be surprised at the old folks RETIREMENT village when they get all them seniors together to show em how to occupy their time with some "leather crafting".

Ray, if you gotta, i guess you gotta, but I'll always regret not getting a new one from you.
All the very best and thanks,
Jim

I guess that's so for me, too, but the good news that Dave Workman is on this Forum and he'll be around for awhile doing his top notch leather work for us.

D&D Gunleather

We have some other Forum members who make quality leather as a hobby so keep your eyes open for their wares, too.

Good Luck Lobo!!!!

Wonder if the business will be offered for sale?

Shame that such a fabulous product and company is no longer available....I own three

Just a thought.......

Randy

Ray, Good Luck and enjoy your well deserved retirement!

Over the last few years I've purchased six assorted Lobo holsters plus a belt, all have fit and worked perfectly. Most recently I received an enhanced pancake for a 60-4 equipped with a fiber optic front sight. Ray was, as always easy to work with and the results were worth it.

Well, it's not quite a retirement home, it is a patio home (no exterior maintenance, yard work, snow removal, etc), at least for now. I plan on trying to enjoy a little time NOT working for a change.

Spent 5 years training and mentoring a very talented person with the intention of letting her take over the business, but it became clear that this wasn't going to happen.

Offered the business for sale with no takers showing up. Even if someone wanted the business it would take a year or more of my time to bring that person up to speed on my products and production methods.

Getting older, getting tired, and no longer willing to work 7 days every week. I have about 10 weeks of confirmed orders on the schedule right now and I will meet those commitments to the best of my abilities. Then I will maintain the website and e-mail for a year (my warranty obligations). Short version: it takes some time and a lot of work just to shut it down!

During that period I may do a little more work, but I don't want to be tied down to a constantly growing production schedule every day for the rest of my life.

Best regards to all.

Enjoy the retirement. You deserve it Ray! And thank you for your service and for giving us such great holsters over the years. It makes me sad to hear you trained someone and it didn't work out. I wish she had taken up the mantle.

Now I and probably others too are desperately searching the internet to find holsters similar to your patterns. I'm going to hold on to the ones I own. If you ever decide to sell blueprints to your patterns I'd probably take up leather making and buy a few.

I'm, sorry, but this just plain sucks. I have been procrastinating for the past month for no real good reason, about ordering a holster for my 2-1/2" 66. Being past retirement age, I still do a 60 hr workweek, plus sight pushers and now revolver plugs. Believe me, I do understand the 7 day per week thing. I wish you only the best in retirement, but I hate you for doing it before I got my holster ordered! Lol.
