On "Strange Inheritance" last night (with super hot and down to earth host Jamie Colby) someone had a picture they said was Jesse James and Bob Ford sitting together. I've seen the picture before and thought it was ridiculous. But the guy with the goatee reminded me by memory of someone else. A young Charles Goodnight so I retrieved this photo of him. Check out these pictures. I'm not saying it is him, but if Goodnight was as famous as Jesse James and I had this picture, I'd have it checked out. Both guys have kind of crazy eyes, maybe a little cross eyed. Guy in top pic appears to have a little ponytail on top of his head. I wonder what type military buckle the guy on the left is wearing when you see the whole picture.
EDIT: I added a pic on the bottom of Goodnight's partner Oliver Loving. He looks more like the guy on the left than he does of Bob Ford.

At first to me it looked like the guy on the right had his hair pulled up tight and a little pony tail on top. Now I think that's just a blemish in the picture or their background screen.

One thing I forgot to mention. The known Loving photo on the bottom looks to be overexposed with a lot of light which could make him look blonde, the top picture, if it were him, could be how he really looked. I just read the bio and history of Goodnight and this guy’s long life and accomplishments would make this a pretty historical photo itself. Though not as pricy as Jesse James and his killer. So the owners might stick with those guys.

They’re noses look different to me. The top pic shows nostrils, the second one doesn’t and the tip of his nose appears a little more down turned.
As to who they are? I don’t know, but I don’t think they are the same man.

It also appears that the top lips are a little differently shaped

I emailed my favorite nonfiction western writer, well know and highly respected by forum members here and who is really into this stuff and he said, "Matt - It is just a tintype of two guys circa 1875 or so. There were about 20 million males in the US in 1875, so the odds of it being someone notable are about 2 out of 20 million."
No wonder I never find anyone famous when I rifle through old pictures at antique shops and flea markets.

Maybe, but how many had their pitcher took?
That should cut the odds down some
I emailed all this info with the Goodnight Loving pictures telling "Strange Inheritance" I'm not saying it's them, but if they think it's possible check it out. They're a hundred times closer than they are to pictures of Jesse James and Bob Ford. Jamie Colby called me and said she'll come over tomorrow to talk about it. Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?
