Really should have taken a "before" picture of this one, it was ugly... traded into it for next to nothing, mechanically sound but original finish very worn, rear sight partly broken, OEM grips beaten and chipped badly.

A new Hogue o/m rubber grip, new sights, and some FDE (with black controls for contrast) Cerakote later...

Kind of different... I know it won't appeal to everyone, but I am pretty happy with it.

Just to be clear (lest y'all praise me undeservedly!), I had the Cerakote done by a young 'smith at a local shop that recently started offering the service.

I did NOT do the finish myself... definitely outside of my personal wheelhouse. :o

I usually don't like guns done in "colors" but dang that does look good

I like it. For years I have stayed away from blued or worn guns but with the firearms finishes available today I won't be doing that anymore. A co-worker just had a J frame done in a 2 tone Cerakote and it turned out awesome. I am a big fan of the flat colors on firearms. Really liking the contrast with the black controls.
