It's come to my attention, that I've tickled the funny bones of a few of my cyber friends, using 'Old Sayings'.

I started mentally collecting 'Old Sayings', as a naughty, pre-school child, nearly 90yrs ago.

Later in life, I acquired a computer, and started a file, and list, of 'Old Sayings', and even listed, the names of some of their donors. The sayings came from Family members, friends, neighbors, and enemies. I made up, quite a few of 'em, myself. When I quit adding to that list, some time ago, it numbered an unbelievable 735 'Old Sayings'.

Many of those 'Old Saying', are nasty, irreverent, and ungodly. Having reached maturity, 90+yrs, I like to believe I've become a better person, and sometimes at the risk of being dinged, I slightly temper, the bad ones.

Anyone else, enjoy 'Old Sayings', as I do?

Dim someone else's shine.

I live so remotely that it costs $3 to mail a 5-cent postcard.

I was so unpopular as a child, my imaginary friend would go across the street to play with the neighbor.

We have enough youth. What we need is a fountain of smart.

It isn't hoarding. It is a primeval need for abundance.

I don't condone cannibalism but when I fly over the Amazon, I have Bar-B-Que sauce in my luggage.

Understanding you is like trying to smell the color 9.

If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

I think it was Steve Martin that said....

Some people have a way with words......
and some - not have way.... :)
