Someone took a nice older J-frame, stripped it and had it coated, then never reassembled it. i was able to pick it up for a very, very good price because it was 'ruined' by having a very nice, professional refinish. My interest in the gun is practical, so I care not one bit about the compromised 'collector's value.'.
The gun was missing a couple of springs and a plunger, all on order from Numerich now at a very modest cost; shipping cost exceeded the price of the parts..
No model number under the crane, serial#67373, no letter prefix. Caliber .38 S&W Special. Curious as to when it was made.
